Irving Berlin, the poor immigrant who rose to the top of his profession, was an American patriot who gave us “Easter Parade,” White Christmas,” and “God Bless America,” and yet he could not read music. Jablonski offers a detailed account of Berlin’s life as well as comprehensive musical analyses of his work. Edward Jablonski is the coauthor of The Gershwin Years and the author of Gershwin Remembered. He also wrote several books on aviation and aerial warfare.
